Trees Planted!

Hi folks! You shall excuse us for our lateness.

Everything went amazingly great with the plantation of our trees. We gathered a small crowd but they were all good people and it was very exciting for us to not only be a part of this project but to be responsible for it. I'm really proud of our work.

Our oral presentation also went well, we managed to explain at least the basics but, overall, I think the significant thing here was that we passed the word and we actually did something that will be here (absorving carbon dioxide) in the future.

We planted three trees: a Jacaranda, a Pine and an Oak Tree.
(We've also named them but I honestly don't think you want to know that)

Here are some photos of the event:

Collecting the gear...

The excitement was evident

Digging and planting...

Planting and digging...

Don't let anybody tell you this isn't fun!

The teachers giving a hand (or two)

Ladies and gentlemen, our Pine Tree!

Preparing the Jacaranda

More digging

And more...

...and more

Our Jacaranda!

João and Sérgio going at it

...repetitively

Last but not least: our Oak Tree!

Finally, us, the people behind this project - Ana Barradas, Sérgio Salvação (Salvation), Catarina Lino (Catpin) e João da Silva - beside our super cool teacher - Maria João Soares - without whom this wouldn't have been possible.

We'd like to thank all of you who showed up and the school for making this easy on us. It was a blast!
